Sometimes, big jumps forward require unlearning less helpful or outright wrong ideas we had before, and as the brain works on rewiring things are very messy in the interim.
Sometimes, we are just tired and need to allow ourselves the grace to not be up to our own standard 100% of the time.
Plase don't worry too much! You are doing okay! :)
August 6, 2020 11:46am #26048This is a great exercise! I can practically see you learning as I look at this example. :)
I do feel as if I can tell which ones you do from imagination and which ones from reference, as the proportions are not quite there yet. But you're doing exactly the right thing to improve in that regard. Just keep on practicing!
1 1 1July 17, 2020 3:50pm #25967Hey Marie,
What kind of error do you receive?
May 28, 2020 5:59pm #25738Oof, that must be SO frustrating. I'm thinking on this today.
May 28, 2020 5:58pm #25737Hi Suzanne,
I have definitely thought about adding still lifes, and have slowly been acquiring equipment that could be used in shooting them -- I don't think it would be all botanical, but certainly that could be part of it. I think it would probably need to be a little different structure than the figure study section, and I don't have a clear vision of what that might be yet.
May 10, 2020 5:18pm #25667What is a "A Bankrupt Math Student" photo? Do you just mean that the site was laggy at the time?
March 30, 2020 3:54pm #25363Welcome to the site! :D
March 22, 2020 6:03pm #25341At long and painful last, after months of not being able to reproduce this... I've finally discovered that this was a dark mode issue. It should be fixed now for the users who prefer the dark site theme!
March 22, 2020 6:01pm #25340Psst, try that tutorial again -- I think it wasn't working right the day you joined :) https://line-of-action.com/learn-to-draw
March 21, 2020 2:16pm #25336Here is another test that I am typing into this window tralalalala
March 20, 2020 10:04pm #25333No problem, I appreciated the clarity of your bug report. :)
I rebuilt a bunch of core things to accommodate some of the new features that were released in a hurry yesterday (in a hurry because so many art departments are being closed by coronavirus), I'm honestly surprised that that appears to be the only thing I broke in that scramble. But I'm pleased it was an easy, quick fix.
March 20, 2020 9:57pm #25329I'm a big fan of the RPR mods, honestly. There's nothing better!
March 20, 2020 8:25pm #25325Welcome testers! Do you get an activity alert when I post this? :)
March 20, 2020 8:13pm #25324Whoops, I must have broken this yesterday when I was installing the other updates. I'll upload a fix right now (you may need to do a hard refresh to see it immediately, ctrl-shift-r works for this in most windows browsers).
Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
March 20, 2020 4:44am #25322I'm really enjoying seeing the range of different exercises and studies you are engaged in!
