Sketch of my grandfather

First off to start I will say the a did have to start with tracing the basic layout of the face. I have been work on this sketch for three weeks. And could never get placement of eyes and mouth right.
but I will say the rest of the sketch is all me. Please any critique is welcome. I think I could have put more detail in the ear but the photo I had for reference is over 30 years old and a bad digital picture copy of it.
