Done as part of a practice session with poses of 5 minutes in length. My current goal is: Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses

You are doing good! The facial features are lining up with basic proportions pretty nicely, especially with the figure on the top left. The eyes and nose are in a great position. I also really like the one to the right of that one. You really captured the top view well. When using the looser lines, you also get the work to be less stiff, so sketching like this definitely helps as practice! I would say try making the contour lines based on where the light and dark areas of the face meet. If you are going for a more line-art type sketch of the face. You are doing a good job at that above, but pushing it a bit more might make it feel even looser. I also recommend trying circular shapes when sketching the face. It really helps me get into the flow of it.

Overall, great practice work!

Most excellent work on your face gesture drawings, Astraltarsier. Furthermore, I've got one small suggestion: Why don't you do 6 more minutes of 2 minute sketches of expressions, if you pretty please??? The impulse why is because, you'll get more solid, fluider and liveliest facial constructions, and it'll loosen up your range of emotions completely. Wish that it'll help so much.
