My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of animals
Akirazin
The arms and legs are ok, but the torso needs more work on proportion, i'd say. Try drawing them first by making fast rectangles and circles accordingly.

Your proportions are near perfect and you captured the complex composition these figures make beautifully. The only critique would be to soften your lines. Human figures are rounded and voluminous, and a photo like this is all about movement and line. Instead of just focusing on the proportions and angles, look at the shapes the shadows make and try to draw those. You will get a softer, more fluid piece.
