Done as part of a practice session with poses of 5 minutes in length.
My current goal is: I don't know! I am an absolute beginner; I'm here to study the basics of rendering
Wonderful! Congrats on beginning! A challenge I like to give my beginningnstudents is: can you try drawing this same image using only triangles? Using only circles? Squares? I would suggest you try this exercise, and see what comes of it!
Do you mean drawing the image of hand which I just posted by using only triangles or only circles or only squares? Uhh, I think maybe I can doing the squares, but I don't know how to do it with only triangles and only circles. Could you show some examples for them please?
I think you can do it! Strip yourself of the desire to draw a "good" hand, face, foot, whatever. The point is not to make a "good" hand, or foot, or face. The hope is that through these exercises you'll figure out how to break down an image into manageable shapes, so that you can instead see the world in shapes, color, and light instead of "tree" "foot" or "table".
I know it sounds weird, but in my experience, your drawings will vastly improve if you try this. Trust me. It's also a great way to get out of your head and to have a little fun.
