Done as part of a practice session with poses of 10 minutes in length.

My current goal is: I don't know! I am an absolute beginner; I'm here to study the basics of rendering

Hi there! I'm also a beginner so don't expect too much, but I think I could help a little. I think your sketch is really good, but here are some tips that are hopefully helpful: So, I see you use a lot of straight lines and harshly outlined shapes. You may want to experiment with trying some more loose lines. Just roughly sketch out a circle and the shape of the head, and start adding all the rough shapes before you go into detail. I think that if you look up "Sketch of head" you could find some very not detailed and rough examples to try. Try to focus more on rough shapes rather than detail, its a sketch after all! You could try to draw the lips by simply make a very dark upper lip and only a shadow as the lower lip, try to find out what you like. Also, have you tried a thin mechanical pencil? (0,3 mm) They are more secure which could help you if you want to draw more detail I think. I hoped this helped! And never give up. (also I'm not English so sorry for incorrect grammar.) -Merle

hi, that really good for a beginner, you maybe sould run for 1 min drawings without details to understand the forms of the head, and when you think you start to understand the form of the face and the head, you can add more time and more details, and step by step give more details and time to your drawings.

Keep drawings and taking pleasure bye!

Lo que seguro catapultaria tu habilidad es tratar te captar con lineas largas, la idea del rostro, no tanto el detalle del rostro, , y tambien ubicar en una tridimencionalidad el craneo y luego las facciones

The expression is very clear in this image. It's even a little bit exaggerated in a way that makes me feel immediately what he is feeling. Great job on that part!

In your next few face studies, I would set a goal to paying special attention to measuring the features against one another, to help with overall proportions and placement.

Great work, keep it up! :)
