My current goal is: Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses

This is really good! You've captured the form of the torso, upper arms, and thighs really nicely. One thing you might try is to lock down the position of the lower limbs (forearms/calves, hands/feet) with simple dots and lines before moving onto details, to help keep the extremities in proportion.

Nice figure (so are your others). You say you want to understand human anatomy. great. You should do both muscles and bone structure. Make drawings that you should keep at hand for you to refer to as necessary. Remember: practice makes better. So get busy.

Thank you so much for your critique! and for the compliment :) This is good advice, I've been meaning to focus on bone structure and muscles for a while but never really dove in as much as I should have. Also, practice does make better! thank you for the reminder. that's much appreciated and encouraging
