30 Minute Session

Done as part of a practice session with poses of 2 minutes in length. My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form I've been getting faster at capturing the form within 2 minutes. I'm proud of this small progess but I definitely have a longer way to go!

A bit of a pet peeve of mine: How big was that page? If you used a standard DIN-A-4 page (8.5"x11") for your drawing, then every figure you drew was barely a few centimeters in height.

Try to avoid that. Paper ain't that expensive, and you will get that much more out of your practice time by just drawing bigger. Like, use a page that size for one draft, not for 30. Get a clipboard with 15 pages, have a space, where you can put your results quickly before starting the next drawing.

I draw digitally lol

Greatest job on your 2-minute human proportions, Fell-o, that's very greater a job.

Again, I feel that some of the rigidity of those poses are slowly melting away, yet I think that you're on the right track. Would you kindly make your drawings even most lightest, loosest and largest, even if they're all digital, with 60 minutes of 1 minute proportion poses?

The reason is appropriately, your overall proportions of the human forms will become the most quickest visual thoughts ever, the least stiffest and rigidest, and the most dynamic, boldest, energetic, and fluid.

Good luck to you, and I hope you've found these completely and totally conducive to artistry and creativity.

It looks so good! My only opinion on it is to simply try to make the legs are arms more seeable because some are just lines.

Really love how you're using shapes to define the figure, your understanding of your progress is well earned as it shows! Great applying of a goal and good execution so far! I come bearing the gift of providing feedback on structure! You're grasp of shape and gesture are well, but bring in some volumes to communicate the structure of your figures. I'm similarily at this point in my personal practice so I've found looking at Grizz and Norms instruction on figure drawing with gesture and structure quite helpful https://grizandnorm.tumblr.com/ but specifically this one https://grizandnorm.tumblr.com/post/172312609213/tuesday-tips-structuregesture-why-not-both Im seeing your two lines to indicate the pelvis on some figures, im unsure if you're going for a box form in those figures but seeing that was personally an "a-ha" moment that I wanted to mention. Aside from that, when your rib cages overlap the pelvis, this is where we see a lot more dimension and form that's so juicy in figure drawing, fnding ways to create more overlap in other figures may prove beneficial. Anyways that's what I have for now, great work, it seems you're well on your way of understanding structure and I'd love to know if you have any good resources you've been learning from for that goal and if you can share those! (Idk if we can message back and forth on here, but yeah) Happy drawing!
