Hands practice

Hello all, I've been following the class mode for almost 2 weeks now, and I feel a bit more confident with drawing hands. But if I want to draw them from imagination, then becoming too reliant on observation will hold me back. What are your thoughts? Feedback and critique are appreciated. Rosenhips

These are some nice hands! Proko on Youtube has some good tutorials on hand anatomy and how to break down hands into 3D shapes in order to draw them from imagination. One excercise he suggests as a sort of intermediate step is to imagine the hands from a different camera angle than the photo and draw that instead of copying the photo as-is.

Hello, thanks for your feedback.

And Proko's videos are very good, I've been watching his videos on hands. I think I will draw the bone structure (philanges, carpals etc) and then draw the actual hand over it, to further my understanding.
