Hand Practice 4

by Sawyer_Sweet, November 6th 2018 © 2018 Sawyer_Sweet
Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid --- I fully and totally admit hands are my weakness, thus the practice. This is one of the more difficult 10 minute end poses I've undertaken and while I'm less than happy with the result, I feel I learned a bit more about how the hands are constructed. If anyone has any tips, helpful critique, etc. please feel free to share it. Thanks, all!

Very cool. Do you think you could articulate what you learned about hand structure in this session? :)

Good day, Sawyer. Greatest works on your edges and gestures of your hand pose sketch. Please do keep up the greatest works, but I want most of the flow and fluidity of your organic drawings of hands. Would you like to go ahead with 46 minutes of 2 minute poses, using your non-dominant hand?

The reason why you could and would go ahead with your non-dominant hand 🤚 is because first of all, to help you draw most creatively from the right side of the brain, which is connected from our left hands(but I don't know what your hand is), and second, to help your lines become completely and absolutely loosest and liveliest. For most info, please look into The Little Book of Talent by Daniel Coyle on Audible.

My hat's off to you.
