30 Minute Gesture/Figure
© 2024 Lammy SharkDone as part of a 30 minute class.
My current goal is: Reduce stiffness and make my drawings feel more dynamic, energetic, fluid
30 second and 1 minute were rather weak, gotta focus less on contour for those gesture sketches. For the longer ones, I tend to jump from construction to detail before I've mapped it out. Hopefully things I can work on improving!

You know Lammy, these quickest sketches of 30 seconds-1 minute are shaping up to be your greatest of quickest sketches, and your longest poses are becoming the most analytical and solidest yet. But the longest is not intrinsically motivated enough yet, but your 30-60 second poses look like or seem like they've been piggybacking on the details, in the sense you've cared about the finest finishes too much. Would you like to please loosen up your lines of action, balance and rhythm, while you need to most carefully but slowly preplan out your perspective lines with the most simplest and geometric forms, with one 10 minute pose?
The reason is because, your figures can, shall, and will become the least blandest, stiffest and sloppiest, but the most totally solidest, flowing and expressive you can and will ever draw. For most details, may I suggest you kindly pick up a copy of the 2 Walt Stanchfield volumes on Amazon and Kindle? My hat's off to you!!!
