Hello! Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form
Rosa M. Franke
Hi Pal,

good practice work there!

Getting the proportions is hard and learning it is harder, everyone knows that I think! I really like the process you are showing. Understanding the flow of lines is important and you are not skipping steps as well, that's cool!

But it can also be a struggle to take a stickman to a finished drawing. Don't hesitate diving right into rough drawings! Stop scribbling along the sample so much and dare to fail! Loosen up your hand and your brain with a few 10-second-sketches and go over to longer sketches, until you reach the point where you got a loose wrist to just follow the flow!

Also here are two pictures of rather old-fashioned (from the 30s, 40s maybe (that's how the drawing style looks at least)) beauty-ideals, but I think they work very good for the stage you are at. Just do not stick to them too much.

I hope this helps! Have fun practising more.
