Hello,
You are off to a great start. I especially like your understanding of the third dimension, good for you. Practice, fast and slow, is the only way to improve. Have you ever tried contour drawing? A famous teacher, Kaimon Nicolaides, wrote a book called The Natural Way to Draw. if you can get it and practice his many exercises, you will see yourself make progress.
April 28, 2020 4:14pm #25597Hi, It looks like you have lots of talent and that you are improving although you may be too close to see it. Give yourself a year or two and you will be happy with where you are.
Do you follow Will Weston? He is a great teacher and could inspire you. Also, do you do contour drawings? They might add to your gesture work.
Also take a look at Jeff Watts' videos. Then there is the free Andrew Loomis PDF book on illustration that is a classic.
1April 28, 2020 4:08pm #25596One book that is very good for beginners is Nicolaides The Naural Way to Draw. It is old but the methods are still used all over. You can get a copy on ebay or Amazon for very little.
