3D artist studying 2D anatomy: Lesson 1

by Snee, May 9th 2020 © 2020 Snee
This is my results of the very first lesson I'm a professional 3D artist and my goal is to incorperate digital painting techniques into my work as well as improve my understanding of anatomy and 2D art. I have personally made a self critique and would love to hear what you think of my work.

Good job with your first session, proportions seem to be good, maybe a bit distorted on your longer pose, but a good start. I would just like to point out the mistake so many people make about drawing. I know you might've just made the distinction because you're using a 3d software but I'm going to nitpick here anyways. Drawing isn't 2d and will never be 2d, I think this is a misconception a lot of people have, it's sculpting in a viewport as much as it is in max, blender or maya. Always keep in mind what you're drawing is a sculpture and is as solid as the object you're drawing and that your line should also have that intent. I might be just ranting now, sorry! keep it up

Nicer and nicer job on your first-ever post, Snee, but, I've got one small request: I love how you put the 2D forces in those sketches; why don't you go for your first ever 5 minutes of 30 second scribbles, if you pretty please?? Because, you'll get your 2-Dimensional anatomies of figures least stiffest and the most fluidest. Hope that it'll do you some great.
