25 Minute Figure Drawing July 14, 2020

Done digitally as part of a 1 hour class. Not happy with the proportions but I'm not entirely sure why. I definitely think the head is a bit too big, but other than that not sure what's so off-putting. Any critique would be appreciated.

I think the proportion is ok actually, but the upper body could use better indication of anatomical structures. You have really nice structure in the hips and legs, but the joints in the arms and the armpit are kind of glossed over and feel stiff and unrealistic. Look at the anatomy of shoulders, elbows, and armpits so even in a relatively quick drawing your lines can interact and overlap in a way that is true to anatomy in the same way that they do in the legs. I think your drawing will immediately come alive.
