5 min environmental practice

Done as part of a 30 minute class. My current goal is: Improve my shading and rendering of light
Kalivanne
great work on creating a framwork sketch! I love the perspective and the detail you added to the buildings (arches) and the road.

I think that a great thing to do is to be more generous with the light/dark areas of your picture. There is a lot of white in the foreground and major buildings along the slides of the piece, so unless those areas are really stark in contrast it would give a lot more depth by filling in those parts with a bit of pencil.

Darkening the top middle section would help create that contrast in light as well.

Great job!

Greatest job on your rendering and motion of your lights and shadows, Skysoda, but please keep up on your pushing yourself.

However but, I'm not getting enough of the broader range of strokes on your backgrounds and scene pictures. How would you kindly free up your shoulders with 30 minutes of 2 minute scenes and locations? (15 location drawings) As a result, your tones and your understanding of the will become the least stilted and the most confident as you'll ever do. For more details, please check out this link here: A Link of Background Practice. It's to the Animaiton Resources flickr background folder. Hope this link has helped you out the best so please take these with a grain of salt.
