Tiny Dancer 3
© 2021 Tx WilliepThis is a sketch I did for a new watercolor It is from the new dancer photos. These were done in permanent ink. If you make a mistake, then to bac. Keep going. The right arm is not correct.

Thank you for critiquing my drawing. If the person is skinny then limbs are not thick. Such was the case here. You are correct. The right leg is longer. Why? Perspective. It is closer to the viewer. If I put out my hand in front of me to wave at you, my hand will appear to be much larger than my head, etc. Look up my sketchbook and look at the works. Yes, the leg lengths are the same, top and bottom (in a front view standing to attention). I reserve the right to make any distortion I deem necessary to make the drawing work. Yes, I agree with your last statement. It is expressive because of the distortions I make. In drawings, etc. you make you can do the same. You are the artist and the one who is in control.
The model is from the new A-0-L photos of a dancer. Check them out.

I checked the picture. For my eyes the right leg is still too long. Look at the location of the right knee.

Love the shading and confidence of line in her right leg. Have you considered wire framing the model before committing to line fully.. I'd lightly wireframe even in pen.. it's fascinating how much of the lines that create framing transfer easily into the figure itself

Thank you for critiquing my drawing. It does have a frame that if you look closely runs down the center of the body & left leg. I generally start with the head and shoulders and go from there. I do draw long continuous lines like in the right leg. That leg is closest to the viewer and is larger (perspective). If I was counseling someone on drawing a figure, I would suggest starting with a wireframe (stick figure) to get all the elements & relationships correct. Then you would fill the figure out.

Great job on your spaces, shapes and sizes of the figure sketch, txWilliep.
My tiniest and smallest nitpick would, should and could be that some of those outlines (contours) are far too timid and too shakiest. Would you kindly loosen and lengthen up your lines with 30 minutes of 59 second quick poses of nudes and non-nudes? (custom timer) (1800/59=roughly 31 quick nudes/non-nudes) (all flipped vertically)
The reasons are because, you'll actually be able to draw your bodies for figure drawings from your right side of your brian, and furthermore, you'll be able to make your contours the least wiggliest and shakiest, and the most explicit and smoothest and appealling. For more details be sure to look into this video below.
Good luck to your goal, and I hope this video has educated and inspired you.

Thank you for critiquing my drawing. What does least wiggliest and shakiest mean? I try to draw smooth lines for contours. I plan to do 1 min & 2 min practice drawings. I am the timekeeper for my local life drawing group. My old timekeeper went bad (4+ years) and I had to buy a new one. I can use that to time me. I also plan to go back to the drawings & accent them with color. At the present, I am having to spend a lot of time cleaning up my room (a big job). Dr. wants to make sure I have a clear walking path in my room .
The YouTube movie was most interesting. I normally do look for the line of action. Also, relationships between body parts and outer parts.
I am still not doing any critiques because L-o-A has not answered my question about bring in photos, drawings into the critiques. I have read & printed out the info on the site, but it does not work for me. I am getting very tired & may well quit L-o-A (withdrawing my $14 & change/month)

If you want a more realistic character, pay attention to at least the following points:
-limbs are usually thicker
-legs should be approximately the same length. The right leg is much longer.
-the drawing itself is expressive
