3rd draw of drawing

Done as part of a 1 hour class.

My current goal is: Improve at correctly capturing the overall proportions of the human form

Hi Slyper,

It looks like you are getting there. One thing I learned that helped me a lot with getting proportions correct is to focus on the joints and using various sized circles to represent them and once you have them where you want in relation to each other start connecting them together with cylinders. then it is just a matter of fine tuning and shading.

I included an example using the same reference you had in your other drawing.

I like the way you got the back leg to look. Im trying to get to that level, but it comes with learning haha.

Hi slyper, try using lines and circles, the circles will be use for joints, and lines for the rest of the body, ficus in that until the shape you're drawing makes se se, remember, it's not a race and If you get frustrated while drawing just stop for a few minutes until you feel like drawing again, it might take even days until you feel it, but emotions reflect on your work, frustration happens to everybody so don't worry a out it, good luck and never give up on yourself.

When it comes to anatomy practice, higher quantity is actually more helpful than higher quality. So, next time you practice, instead of just doing a few detailed practices try to do lots of quick practices. No matter whether they turn out messy, the point is to get lots of experience rendering different shapes of a form. Furthermore, you may find it helpful to block out different loose shapes as a guideline for your piece. E.G. (very) loose ovals for thighs, a trapezoid for the chest area. Hope this helps!
