1 hour greyscale study

this hour long study of one of Anastasia's chain poses in greyscale was done with a three goals in mind
1. Better improve my understanding of shading the body by learning where blocks of shadows go and how they distort with a body's position and form.
2. Better understand how values work in a body, to improve my shading and understanding of color down the line
3.learn how to work in greyscale and how to capture complicated forms in greyscale, as I would like to have this technique under my belt for future work in digital art
any critiques, technique advice, or potential activities that would help me further with those goals would be much appreciated, or any critiques that spring to mind in general. My work was done in procreate using a variety of brushes for both coloring had smudges.

If I'm pressed to pick two things, I would say, first of all, great job on how you've rendered your observation of that nude in grayscale. And second of all, on how greater a job you've simplified your shapes and spaces and edges of your lights and shadows of the most complex figure in chains.
