Looking real good! I would recommend trying to add in shading to add some challenge and understand the volumes of the body more.
November 24, 2020 3:44am #26420Is there a way to know all the possible achievements you can earn on this site? It's been fun seeing some new achievments received and was wondering if there is a list of all the possivle ones you can earn. Thanks friends
November 24, 2020 3:42am #26419I think you have a good idea of it, gestures is about identifying the main movement of the figure, and how all the parts of the figure emphasize or play into this main movement. You are placing the action line in your figures which is key, just try focusing on how all the parts of the body flow into the action line you created.
1November 24, 2020 3:37am #26418Looks nice! The figure from the 20 minute drawing looks a bit stiff and off proportioned, I recommend focusing on gestures of 5 minutes and below to begin loosening up your strokes a bit more. I also recommend studying up on muslce and bone placement to give your figures a defined volume. But great work so far, keep it up!
1November 23, 2020 11:10am #26416Its nice to see you are placing the action line clearly :) I think you could try to focus on proportions, especially on the limbs since they look a bit short sometimes. Great work so far!
November 23, 2020 11:02am #26415Shading looks good! The more rendered drawings look like they are stiff in terms of the overall pose. I recommend maybe focusing on quicker gestures to loosen up your strokes and then gradually go up to more rendered drawings. Also keeping an eye out for proportions, especially in the arms and legs, will help you.
November 22, 2020 4:04pm #26413Very nice! the 30 second and 1 minute gesture are my favorites, the action line is visible on most of them and you were able to get in some key shapes in the time frame. I think maybe drawing skeletons and muscles might help you so that you cna get in more detail in the longer 5 minute drawings. There are some issues with proportions and studying how bones and muscles are positioned could help you alot.
November 22, 2020 3:23pm #26412I am not familiar with the Force method, but your drawing looks nice. I think varying the line weight more and having thinner and lighter lines could help create more contrast in the drawing. For improving at shading I think using photographs instead of other drawings helps you understand the light's behavior a bit more. Good job!
November 20, 2020 7:14pm #26407Lookin good! I would recommend studying muscles and bone structure since some of the muscles look like they could be mispalced on some of the backs. Backs in general can be tricky since we don't really look at them as much as faces or hands. Great work so far!
