I am trying to better understand anatomy to be able to render poses from imagination.
Recently, I realized that I was so focused on copying the forms of figures that I forgot to pay attention to how each individual muscle works depending on the pose. Here, in the longer poses, I did a bit less "copying" and more "building up" with lines and circles for the rib cage.
I remember this kind of practice being messy for trying to show as much of the skeleton and muscles as possible...but I should probably try to do it more often.
