Done as part of a practice session with poses of 60 seconds in length. My current goal is: Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses

Hi!

Good gesture and energetic lines! I feel that you got the understanding and manage to capture the gesture and feeling of the pose.

I do think that you're maybe struggling with catching the whole pose in a quick manner. I would recommend looking at animation sketches, especially the concept of 'gesture line'. Animation artists specialize in catching movement and gesture in a very precise and minimalist way. I think that getting the gesture line first and then building the pose from and on that line will help you get more of the pose - 60 seconds sketches are supposed to be more of a 'catch the feeling' and not the anatomy or structure.

Also, don't be afraid to use more guidelines - I see that you already use some for the hips and head - use them for the shoulders too! It will help you see the angles of the pose better.

All in all, I love the sketches. Hope that helps!

One thing I found that helps with anatomy (your stated goal) is tracing paper.

Place it over the gesture/ or any picture and draw in the bones and muscles as you think they would fit.

Your gestures are exagerated enough that I think if you take one as it is now (maybe give it 2 minutes) and then do that you'll improve quicly.

Excellent performance, SINE, nonetheless, I've got one little petition: Would you like to go for 240 more 30 second figure illustrations, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty please, please, please, please???? The reason why is now that, your human analysis will become more strongest in your lines of action and rhythm. Sweat and grovel that it'll work out.
