i just imagine from that angle the shoulder would be almost as large as the head. Drawing the darkest areas or lines first might help.

Very nice believable figure. The left arm is a little off. Check the feet. Consider first using a stick figure. Using the stick figure work out the relationships between the various parts. Example: the head & the elbow are inline and maybe the head and left leg are inline. I looked at your other drawing. The proportions are off. You can find how a figure should be set up (the measurement is normally made using the head as the unit of measure). You can do it.
