I changed my drawing goal from 30min/day to 10min/day (not much, I know, but I was missing too many days and this could actually be a feasible goal) but the tool seems to have stopped registering the time spent drawing. The daily goal tracker shows nothing, and the indicator on the right just reads "spent practicing this week" (instead of "X minutes spent practicing"). My current goal is "Better understand human anatomy, so I can render imagined poses".

    - did two free sessions of 60s and 1min poses, adding up to about 15 min - nothing

    - set a class mode session running in the background to test it. Class just finished, nothing. The counter normally ticks up while I refresh the page, but that isn't happening here.

I'm in the EU/Madrid timezone, if it helps.

P.S. because it can't be said enough: this site is amazing. I've filled a folder and (nearly) an A4 sketchpad thanks to all the sessions I've done here. Thank you so much for all the work you put into it!

Since June I've been doing regular 30-minute class sessions in an effort to learn how to draw hands. There's been a definite improvement: my 30s hands look a lot less like pencils stuck in plasticine, and when I'm out peoplewatching I'm no longer afraid to at least attempt the hands (actual outcome may vary but it's the thought that counts). Strangely enough I have the most trouble with seemingly straightforward gestures - edge-on, palm or dorsal view - possibly because it's harder to bluff my way through the anatomy.

(I killed my grey pen doing that last one.)

I feel I should change my routine a bit, focus more on full body poses instead of just hands 24/7 - maybe practice basic 3d shapes and lighting, too, as I spend far too much time working out where to put the shadows instead of thinking "this shape = this kind of shadow", which probably won't help me much in the long run.

    Any and all advice welcome!

    Hi,

I was a $5 backer in the fundraiser and according to both the original email and the reward code email, that corresponds to a 6-month membership; however the code only registered as 3 months (ending Jan 9). Is this an error, or has the reward scheme changed?

(I realise it seems a bit mean to quibble over $5 but I'd rather ask than not.)

Love the goal-tracking, by the way!

Just dropping in to say I really admire your hands - there's a fluidity and energy to them that I'd love to achieve - the line weights in 4 and 5 from row 2 especially. Gorgeous. *thumbs up*

Not sure how qualified I am to offer critique, but here goes: some of the full figure poses are a bit disjointed, like they're moving in too many directions at once. You might want to a) try drawing on a larger scale to force yourself to use fewer, but smoother and longer lines, and b) focus more on the underdrawing - line of the spine, chest/hips etc - again to simplify the pose.
